Currently, we are seeking a Product Designer to be based at our corporate office in Cincinnati, OH.

The Product Designer will be responsible for creating a range of products for the healthcare, hospitality, and interior design markets focusing on aesthetics and functionality. The Product Designer will use his/her understanding of technology, materials, and manufacturing methods to improve the design and usability of a product.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Meet with internal or external clients to establish the design brief, including the concept, performance, and production criteria
  • Translate customer and market research input to inform product design changes
  • Sketch initial design ideas, make working models by hand or using prototyping equipment, and test the design concept
  • Produce detailed drawings or use software CAD (computer-aided design) to produce design specifications
  • Conduct research to stay informed on the latest fashion trends that impact relevant product categories
  • Identify the suitability, performance, costs, and availability of materials

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Product Design or related field (Industrial, Spatial, 3D, or Textile design)
  • Presentation of a portfolio showing design work
  • Previous work experience in a related field or involvement in an industrial environment, design competition, exhibitions, or other related projects
  • High degree of technical knowledge balanced with creative ability and a hands-on approach
  • Possess visual, commercial, and spatial awareness
  • Knowledge of industrial processes, techniques, and standards
  • Proficient computer skills, including three-dimensional conceptual ability and CAD (computer-aided design)
  • Occasional travel up to 10% to manufacturing facilities
